Los Diccionarios
I do encourage you to use online translators. They can be great learning tools! However, be careful, too. Using online translators are most helpful when translating short phrases but will often provide bizarre or incorrect translations on large sentences especially if you use idioms or slang. Always make sure you completely understand the translation or you could end up with some pretty embarrassing Spanish.
A great way to double check is to copy and paste your translation and have the site re-translate it back into English.

Para Practicar
Anyone up for a challenge? BrainPOP gives a free educational video and quiz everyday. This is a great way to learn about the world around us. What's even better? Trying it out in Spanish! The video has the subtitles in Spanish while you listen.
Do this everyday and you will be surprised at how much Spanish you start to hear and understand. The link for the video is in the upper left corner, just under the image like the one to the left. |
